[Sports note news] Google’s ‘most searched’ player is Eriksen

Christian Eriksen (Denmark), who collapsed from a heart attack during the European Football Championship in June of this year, was counted as the most searched sports player in 2021 by Google, the world’s largest search engine company. According to Google’s ‘Year in Search’ sports player rankings released last week, Eriksen took first place. He collapsed from a heart attack during a match against Finland at the European Football Championship, and was immediately taken to the hospital, where he underwent cardiac defibrillator implantation and was discharged. In second place was Tiger Woods (USA), who suffered two leg injuries in a car accident in February. Gymnast Simon Biles (USA) placed 3rd, and US Open tennis winner Emma Radukanu (England) placed 4th.

Lee Sang-ho (26, High1) became the first Korean athlete to win a gold medal in the International Ski Federation (FIS) Snowboard World Cup. On the 11th (Korean time), Lee Sang-ho defeated Stefan Baumeister (Germany) and won the final in the men’s alpine parallel competition at the 2021-2022 FIS Snowboard World Cup held at Antislave, Russia on the 11th (Korean time). Lee Sang-ho is the first Korean player to win a gold medal at the FIS World Cup. Lee Sang-ho won a silver medal in the men’s alpine snowboarding parallel event at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.
